Objectıve: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between anthropometric measures of neck and head with neck pain and its biomechanical variable, dysphagia, respiratory, dysfunction and neck muscle endurance. Background of the Study: Neck pain is the sensation of discomfort in the neck. Neck pain is caused by many different conditions and is sometimes called as cervical pain. In an office, neck disorders that stem from work are problems that are prevalent in workers most especially workers who are always working on computers. Neck pain is a significant public health problem both in terms of personal health and overall wellbeing as well as indirect expenses. Neck pain is prevalent in adults affecting 14-17% of them at some period of their lives. It is a 1-year prevalence in adults ranges from 16 to 75%. The presence of the neck pain tends to vary depending upon the anatomy of the head and neck. This study is done to evaluate the relationship between the anthropometric measures of head and neck along with the neck pain and biomechanical variables. Methodology: A total of 100 samples were selected from 150 volunteers based on inclusion criteria, from the outpatient department in ACS medical college and hospital by purposive sampling method. The purpose of the study was to measure the prevalence of head and neck in relation to chronic neck pain on biomechanical variables dysphagia, respiratory dysfunction, and neck muscle endurance. The questionnaire includes neck disability index questionnaire, swallowing disturbance questionnaire, the peak expiratory flow rate and dials sphygmomanometer for measuring neck muscle endurance were included in the study to determine the neck as well as respiratory dysfunction. Result: From the data analysis, it has been shown that prevalence in male head circumference 21.76±.656, neck column length anterior 5.60±.473, neck column length posterior 5.57±.742, flexion 32.06±4.68, extension 31.56±4.72, right lateral flexion 31.30±4.82, left lateral flexion 31.50±5.36, right side rotation 41.70±10.18, left side rotation 42.50±10.98, neck muscle endurance 35.72±6.01, PEFR 450.50±45.60, NDI 50.80±11.14, SDQ 9.26±2.02. From the data analysis ,it has been shows that prevalence in female head circumference 20.84±.908,neck column length anterior 5.03±.626, neck column length posterior 4.84±.694,flexion 31.80±5.86,extension 31.02±5.15,right lateral flexion 33.00±6.30,left lateral flexion 32.90±5.81,right side rotation 45.70±11.01,left side rotation 45.90±11.01,neck muscle endurance 32.08±3.92,PEFR 4392.40±67.96,NDI 45.40±10.89,SDQ 9.25±2.01. This study result showed changes in the biomechanical variance of both women and men.
