The purpose of the present research was to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment based on improved quality of life on sexual function and intimacy of recovered addicted couples. Methods: This research was a quasi-experimental study with pre-test, post-test, and control groups. The statistical population consisted of all recovered male addicts with their couples in Kerman in 2017 (120 persons). Using purposive sampling, 30 couples (30 recovered addict men and 30 spouses) were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The treatment based on Improved Quality of Life was applied to the experimental group in 8 sessions. At the end of this period, both groups completed the questionnaires as the post-test. Data were analyzed using covariance analysis.
